MS Dhoni’s bond with the producer of his biopic

Arun Pandey, one of the producers of Neeraj Pandey's 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', was a state-level cricketer whose friendship with the Indian cricket captain goes back over 17 years. When Arun first bowled to Mahendra Singh Dhoni years ago in the nets on a ground in Bihar, little did he know that they would become such special friends in the years to come.
Interestingly, Captain Cool's biopic is a dream come true for Arun. He says, "It's been my dream to make a film on the life of MS that would truly reflect his legacy in the backdrop of the journey he has travelled to get where he is today."And now that the movie, toplining Sushant Singh Rajput as the Indian cricket captain is ready for release, Arun says, "Having known Mahi so closely, it was important for me to ensure that every aspect of his life is presented factually, not fictionally. He is a private person. So it required a combination of my vision and an excellent team to make a film that would inspire millions of people."
