Not Salman Khan, but this actor might be a part of ‘Race 3’

There have been reports about Salman Khan being approached for ‘Race 3’. However, if latest reports are to be believed, it won’t be Salman, but Hrithik Roshan who will star in the film. It is said that the makers might opt for Hrithik and not Salman, because the latter doesn’t have dates to give.

Salman is currently busy with ‘Tubelight’, and then will later start with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ which will push ‘Race 3’ to 2018. And Hrithik currently has ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Krrish 4’. While the former will release in January next year, there’s still time for the latter to go on floors. So, Hrithik might have dates for ‘Race 3’.

A leading daily quoted a source as saying, “There’s still time for Hrithik to start work on ‘Krrish 4’ and he’s through with ‘Kaabil’ after January 2017. ‘Race 3’ could well be next.”

A trade insider stated, “(Salman) needs to have dates free. If it was only ‘Tubelight’, it would be understandable. But Salman has also signed ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which could keep him occupied through 2017. And if he ends up picking ‘Dabangg 3’ for Eid 2018, ‘Race 3’ will only arrive by 2018-end. So he might not be picked.”

“When it came to ‘Race 2’, Saif Ali Khan was quite vocal that the script could have been better. He pretty much echoed the sentiments of audiences as well who felt that the film wasn’t as impressive as the first film in the series. This makes the job all the more difficult when it comes to ‘Race 3’. Moreover, whether it is Salman Khan or Hrithik Roshan, both would give it quite some thought,” the trade insider added.

‘Race’ was loved by everyone, but ‘Race 2’ had received mixed reviews, however it was a commercial success.
