‘Akira’s box office collection stays dismal on day 4

Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Akira’ opened to rave reviews from the critics and well, the box office numbers too seem to be rave. The film did not receive a grand opening at the box office and the saga continued. On the end of its fourth day, ‘Akira’ managed to mint approximately, Rs 18.75 crore at the box office.

As per the statistics, the Monday collections of ‘Akira’ stood at Rs 2.75 crore approximately. With this, the collection of the film stand at Rs 18.75 crore. Even though there were high expectation from the film’s Monday collection as it was a public holiday, the collection dropped drastically.

‘Akira’ directed by AR Murugadoss is the Hindi version of a hit Tamil film. The only twist in his Bollywood version is that it has a female lead as the protagonist unlike the Tamil one.
